On February 2nd, 2017, MSC Software signed an agreement to be acquired by Hexagon AB. The transaction is expected to be finalized within the next 3 months. We are excited to share this news with you as we believe it is in the long term best interest of MSC’ s customers and employees. Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence’s (HMI) main businesses are in the automotive, aerospace and consumer electronics and other discrete manufacturing markets, and increasingly wants to offer end-to-end solutions in these workflows. Process-oriented solutions are essential for manufacturers, and MSC’s solutions address key design and engineering processes.
