Thank you for making MSC Software's Aerospace Users Symposium & International Ground Vehicle Users Symposium a success! Our goal was to provide you with the latest information on the strategies and technologies to be used immediately to enhance concept development, design, simulation, testing, manufacturing, and business performance.
This year's Symposiums featured 6 Industry Leading Keynotes from The Boeing Company, NASA, Fiat Automobiles, BMW Group, Toyota Motor Corporation, and MSC Software. The symposiums also featured 36 strong technical presentations across 4 tracks:
- Aerospace Structures & Composites
- Aerospace Dynamics, Acoustics & Optimization
- Ground Vehicle Structures
- Ground Vehicle Dynamics & Acoustics
Our “Best Technical Presentation” contests at both Symposiums helped maintain a very high level of quality across all presentations. The winners were determined by votes from our symposium attendees. Our track winners, Dr. John Johnston (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center), Paul Dufour (The Boeing Company), Jesper Slattengren (Pratt & Miller Engineering), and Dr. James Patterson (Hendrickson Trailer Commercial Vehicle Systems) received an iPad.
Moreover, the symposiums provided 4 Training Tracks on advanced technical topics and also encouraged attendees to engage in an open dialogue regarding MSC Software products & solutions at the Solution Forums.
Finally, the Evening Reception at both symposiums gave attendees a fantastic extra bonus. The evening reception at the Aerospace Users Symposium was held at the National Air and Space Museum. MSC reserved the whole space for attendees to walk and explore. The museum featured aviation artifacts such as the Space Shuttle Discovery, the Lockheed SR-61 Blackbird (the fastest jet in the world), the Boeing Dash 80, and the Boeing B-29 Superfortress Enola Gay. The evening reception at the International Ground Vehicle Users Symposium was held at the Henry Ford Museum. Again, the entire space was reserved just for our attendees, as they discovered rare exhibits such as John F. Kennedy's presidential limousine, Abraham Lincoln's char from the Ford's Theatre, Thomas Edison's laboratory, the Wright Brother's bicycle shop, and the Rosa Parks bus.
